What happens when community leaders finally get a moment to pause?

Last month, over 30 social enterprise leaders from ethnically diverse communities across the UK gathered at The Royal Foundation of St Katharine for a moment to pause, reflect and reconnect.

This short highlight video captures the Agbero2100 Leaders Health and Wellness Retreat, which was set over two days and designed to help people leading change take care of themselves, reflect on their purpose, and reconnect with others doing the same.

The leaders spoke openly about burnout, the impact of trauma, and the pressure to always “just get on with it.” Through yoga, shared meals, deep conversations, and laughter, the retreat offered something rare: space to breathe and remember why the work matters. In a world where constant output is normalized, it was much needed to reimagine our leadership through the lenses of rest, care and collective joy.
